Toronto Argonauts Sign Four; Including an Ex-Pro Bowler

TORONTO, ON-The Toronto Argonauts have announced the signings of four imports. Ex-pro bowl wide receiver and kick returner Jerome Mathis, and quarterback Stephen Reaves, linebacker John Keith and cornerback Dovonte Edwards.

Reaves spent his first two college years at Michigan State and the final two at Southern Mississippi. In 2007 as a senior he completed 95 passes and three touchdowns. In 2008 after going undrafted he joined the Oakland Raiders as a coaching intern.

Mathis was a rookie in 2005 when he was named a pro bowler as a kick returner. He also spent 2006 and 2007 with Houston and spent time with the Washington Redskins during the 2008 offseason.

Edwards who was a MVP while with North Carolina State on defense, played two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions and spent time with the New York Giants on their practice roster. He intercepted a Brett Favre (who by the way should just retire) and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown.

Keith was signed after a career with the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions and went undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft.
