Vancouver, CA—The BC Lions have announced that they and Justin Sorensen have agreed to terms of a contract.

Being the Lions, and fifth overall pick in last year's CFL Draft, Sorensen went back to South Carolina to complete his final year of eligibility. The Parksville native started all 13 games last year at right tackle for the Gamecocks. With those 13 starts, he had a total of 31 consecutive starts.

“Justin has played football at a very high level and I am looking forward to seeing what he can contribute to our club,” said head coach and manager, Wally Buono.

“I am very pleased to begin my professional career at home in British Columbia,” said Sorensen. “I cannot wait to compete for a roster spot in training camp this June.”

As the fifth overall pick in last year's draft, how can he not get a roster spot?
